Md Amzad Hossain

I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas.  I obtained my Ph.D. degree in Economics from the University of Virginia.  Prior to this, I served as a lecturer at the University of Dhaka, from where I obtained my M.A. and B.A. degrees in economics. My research interests are at the intersection of development and labor economics.  My research has focused on higher education, human capital, the labor market, and violence in developing countries, focusing on gender disparity. My research has often relied on unique administrative data that I have collected from different government offices and academic institutions. I have also taken part in implementing field experiments.
